Hello!
Welcome and thank you for visiting my page.
I'm Simone, a mother of 2, a Registered Professional Counsellor (MACA) and a Registered Nurse (AHPRA). I’m a general counsellor with a speciality area in food allergy emotional, social and behavioural health and wellbeing.
My interest in food allergies started more than 12 years ago when my youngest son at 7 months had a near fatal anaphylactic reaction to less than 0.1ml of formula milk (dairy). With no prior warnings of eczema or asthma, this threw our world upside down within a second. He was then diagnosed with severe food allergies to dairy, wheat, egg, peanut, tree nut, sesame, pine nuts, soy and later as a result of another anaphylactic reaction, rye. From that time, through our difficult allergy journey, I saw the real need for help, education, awareness and support in this area of our lives. This drove me to support others navigating this same journey.
I know that anything is possible when it comes to living a full, happy and healthy life as an individual and family managing food allergies.
I provide support, guidance, information and education to empower you to find your safe and confident direction. Individual issues require individual approaches with a deeper understanding in my speciality area. I use an evidence-based approach to counselling gained from different sources. The techniques I may use include Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Person Centred Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Mindfulness, Behaviour change, and Narrative Therapy. These techniques can be extremely helpful in gaining greater personal insight, finding your inner strength and confidence, managing symptoms of stress and anxiety, balance feelings and emotions, and gaining clarity to move forward in your life to achieve the positive change that you are looking for.
Are you ready to take the next step in your wellbeing?
